專業顧問Richard Hagan在他發表的「2012年度十大扣件業併購案」中表示，扣件企業的併購在2012年依然強勁。專門從事扣件業併購顧問的Pinnacle Capital Corporation總裁表示：「根據計算，去年全球完成的扣件企業併購案共有31件。」Hagan的數據顯示扣件業在2011年有29件大型併購案，2010年則有30件。
Hagan從1995年起就開始每年統計十大併購案清單。以下為Richard Hagan的2012年十大扣件企業併購案：
