MFL, which began commercial production in 1997, offers cold/hot forged fasteners and precision machined components for automotive and industrial applications at an annual capacity of 15,000 MT. It has in-house tool room, engineering, standard room and laboratory and a combination of bolt formers, nut/part formers, single station headers, special bolt/part formers and hot forging presses. For secondary processing it has CNC lathes, turning machines and vertical milling machines. It is a fully integrated plant with continuous heat treatment lines and a fully automatic surface finishing plant– all in house for complete solutions and more flexibility.
With 600 employees and a revenue performance of USD 18 Million in the 2016-17 financial period, MFL has satisfied customers in leading developed nations like Europe, USA, Canada, Mexico, China, and Indonesia. Its customers include standard wholesalers/distributors to OEMs in India, their Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and some of their overseas facilities.
Assorted Products Offering Guaranteed for Quality & Traceability
MFL offers assorted standard articles to the whole world including cold forged fasteners up to 260mm length and hot forged fasteners up to 400mm. Its established products are hexagon socket ones comprising countersunk screws, button head screws, low head screws, shoulder/stripper bolts, etc., some of which are also available in Torx (6 Lobe) drive. Additionally it produces pipe plugs, dowel and pull-out dowel pins, and special parts as per drawing.
“MFL is an approved vendor to German railways and offers parts for critical applications through a wholesaler,” said Mr. Deepak Arneja, MD-CEO of MFL, in an interview with Fastener World Magazine. “In automotive parts, we produce chassis and suspension components, engine mounting, HVAC, seat belt bolts, front/rear wheel axle bolts among others. We ensure that every product is tested for quality using a quality management system maintaining product traceability that covers the initial source of supply all the way to final dispatch to customers. Material test certificates are available to ensure compliance with international standards.” All of these have translated into significant domestic and overseas market shares.
Supplying to Global Big Brands & Getting Ready for IATF 16949: 2016 Certificate
MFL exports to many big names like Wurth and Brighton-best, to name just a few. “We can boast that most of the big names in Europe and USA use our products. We believe we wouldn’t have been chosen as a trusted supplier if it weren’t for our quality products. The big names help us in continuous improvement in quality, services and technical upgrade,” said Deepak. With ISO 9001:2008, ISO/TS 16949:2009, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 acquired, MFL has already planned to acquire IATF 16949: 2016 that will soon replace ISO/TS 16949:2009.
Looking Ahead: Fastener Fair Stuttgart & the 4th Plant Coming up
MFL currently has 3 plants in Rohtak (Haryana) in India. “Haryana, adjacent to New Delhi, is a highly industrialized state in North India with India’s largest carmakers and the world’s largest 2-wheeler makers. Rohtak is known as Birmingham of India with many fastener and auto components makers. This provides a ready-made infrastructure and easy availability of manpower,” explained Deepak. The 4th plant, when put in place will be used for setting up additional capacities. Furthermore, MFL has the land available for setting up its 4th plant in the near future.
MFL is a long-time participant to Fastener Fair Stuttgart. This year it will display various standard and special fasteners, and is looking forward to more opportunities by exhibiting at fairs besides Stuttgart.
