Following the previous successful result of its 2011 edition, Korea Metal Week 2013 opened its gates in Hall 1 of KINTEX located in the suburb of Seoul to the exhibitors and visitors from the entire world again. The exhibition this year comprised of 6 thematic exhibiting areas: 14th Fastener & Wire, 9th Die Casting & Foundry, 7th Automobile & Machine Parts, 13th Press & Forging, 14th Tube & Pipe, and the 1st Metal Surface Treatment.

4 days of exhibition (held from 10/16 through 10/19) welcomed at least 300 exhibitors from 20 countries, including Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, Ukraine, and USA. Exhibit profiles included material processes, semi-finished/finished products, peripheral tools & dies, and large sized machines.

With the vibrant atmosphere and increasing number of attendees during the exhibition, the organizer also arranged 14 presentations opened for all attendees on 10/18 and 10/19, offering both exhibitors and visitors an excellent platform for a quick access to the latest market trend and getting valuable instructions and experience from industrial professionals who have been performing really well this year.

Korea Metal Week, being the largest industrial exhibition in South Korea (with its floor plan of over 108,000 sq. ㎡), provides with substantial opportunities for the domestic Korean fastener & industrial components companies to show the world their advanced and innovative technology on one hand, and on the other hand, shows as a gateway for non-Korean companies to penetrate into the local market, where the automotive, shipbuilding, and other heavy industries have demonstrated strong growth for the past few years.

Looking ahead for the upcoming 2014, the organizer decides to change the biennial exhibition to be annually held and further expand its current thematic exhibiting areas to include the 1st 3D Printing Technology for a wider and more integrated selection of products for buyers and sellers. The new exhibition slated for 2014 will be given in Hall 2 of KINTEX from 9/16 through 9/19.
