International Fastener Show Tainan Taiwan (IFST) took a grand launch today (April 11). Mr. Jim C.N. Chen, Chairman of Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (TFTA) hopes that this first international fastener show will benefit Taiwan fastener industry.

Mr. Chen states that everything is ready, and that he has been very cautious since the preparation starting from last May. Even though he has confirmed that there will be over 550 booths and 280 exhibiting companies, and that the show scale is the fourth largest on the globe, following, Las Vegus, China, and Stutggart (with 1,700 booths), there is no absolute certainty about the actual visitor counts and overall performance by the end of the show.

He points out that International Exhibition Corp. is a professional agent for global fastener fairs. Particularly, general manager William Liao has long cultivated himself in the fastener industry and knows everything about industry structure and buyers’ needs. This time, he utilizes his ten-year experience and promote the show to 140 thousand global buyers from 104 countries through the official website. Besides, the member of TFTA also took part in the promotion, to which, Mr. Jim has confidence in bringing in more potential buyers for Taiwan fastener industry that relies on export trades.

Mr. Jim also points out that the show is located in Tainan for a few reasons: (1) The show is in the 50 kilometer radius of the center fastener industry that gathers machinery, screws, nuts, electroplating, and heat treatment, to name just a few. Buyers can visit factories in 30 minutes to understand production process and QC and achieve one-stop shopping (2) This is the first edition of IFST which is expected to attract over ten thousand people and achieve substantial business opportunities. Tainan City Mayor hopes that IFST will set up the pattern of “Computer fair in Northern Taiwan, and Fastener fair in Southern Taiwan”, and he welcome everyone to participate in this major event.

Mr. Jim thinks that fastener is a non-fading industry because it is an important momentum for infrastructure. He is confident that this show will let buyers experience the high quality and flexibility of Taiwan fastener industry and earn more purchase orders.
