In order to respond to technical demands of car manufacturers, the steel metallurgy plant of Russian Severstal-Metiz announced that the company has successfully produced welding wire compliant with GOST17305-91. It is reported that the material is used for weld car seats.
In August 2009, Severstal-Metiz sent the first batch of products to its target customers and continued to receive positive feedbacks during 2010. Meanwhile, Severstal-Metiz also received orders for the same series of products, like steel wire rods compliant with GOST5663-79 and rolled steel bars compliant with GOST10702-78.
To review the current order status, new products of Severstal-Metiz can satisfy the demand of customers for new manufacturing technology. This is definitely a benefit for Severstal-Metiz to seek for orders from the car manufacturing industry.
President Oleg Vetel of Severstal-Metiz said, "The powerful capability to master welding wire for car seats can fully represent the great concern of Severstal-Metiz for each customer and the will to seek for closer cooperation. It is not only the development of a single product line, but also represents that we can achieve the requirements of customers on the technical performance and weight load because we began to improve from the very beginning of the manufacturing process and did lots of efforts."
Severstal-Metiz is expected to ship the products at 200 metric tons per year.
