NORMA Group AG is increasing production at its Newbury facility in the UK and in Qingdao in China. The company is reacting to growing demand for NORMA products in Europe and Asia.

John Stephenson, COO of NORMA Group and president of the Asia-Pacific Region, commented: "We are pleased about the strong demand for our products, which we want to meet in all regions with the high quality and reliability our clients have come to appreciate."
NORMA Group will build a new 1,000-metre manufacturing hall in the next twelve months, designed to provide additional production and storage capacity for V profile clamps for the European market. Also, capacities for manufacturing of V profile clamps will be set up in the Chinese manufacturing facility in Qingdao, established in 2008. The close cooperation with Newbury allows for a know-how transfer in this product segment: Identical production processes and tools will be introduced to the Newbury as well as the Qingdao facilities. NORMA Group thus ensures that clients will be offered the same high quality joining technology across the world. In addition, by producing on-site, customers in Asia can profit from shorter delivery times.
"Producing locally, we can serve our clients worldwide depending on their individual needs. The close cooperation between the teams in the UK and China enables us to increase production simultaneously in Europe and Asia based on the same quality standards", Stephenson adds.
NORMACONNECT V profile clamps are connecting elements for flange pipes used in various applications including exhaust, cooling and filter systems, turbochargers, water treatment, supply pipes and air conditioning systems. The V profile clamp is available globally in the standard versions NORMACONNECT V for industrial applications and NORMACONNECT V PP and Breeze V-Band for the automotive industry.
