Advanced Precision Products Inc. received a leveraged recapitalization to fund shareholder dividends. Quarton Partners represented Hastings Equity Partners LLC in the recapitalization. Waltham, MA-based Hastings is a private equity firm investing in niche businesses. APP is a subsidiary of Hastings. Advanced supplies tight tolerance, precision machined components and assemblies for the medial, defense, aerospace, oil & gas, automotive and general industrial end markets.
Atlantic Fasteners tripled its warehouse space in a 90,000 sq ft leased building, president Tony Peterson announced. The new space allows for more bulk deliveries and streamlines the fulfillment process. "Customers particularly like imaging which allows for quick retrieval of item information, lot history, certifications and other pertinent paperwork which we can fax or email to them instantly," Peterson said.
Atlantic is a 31-year-old employee-owned distributor of commercial and aerospace hardware.
Aztech Locknut received ISO/IEC 17025:2012 accreditations. Aztech's QA lab, torque & tension lab & consulting, provides technical testing and analysis of locknuts.
Founded in 1978, Aztech manufactures and supplies metal and nylon insert locknuts to distributors.
Brighton Best International president Robert Sheih announced branch expansions:
• The Los Angeles operation has added 80,000 sq ft of space to deliver more inventories to distributors from Seattle to San Diego.
• The Grand Prairie, TX, branch doubled in size.
• BBI is planning to expand its Toronto warehouse to 80,000 sq ft.
• The Chicago area facility will move from Carol Stream, IL, to a 250,000 sq ft location in Aurora by the end of 2012.
Brighton-Best distributes fasteners through 31 warehouses in the U.S., Canada, UK, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand and is headquartered in Tainan, Taiwan.
Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Co. launched ShearPlates.com as a technical resource for engineers, architects, contractors, laminators and fastener distributors. Shear plates have been used extensively for over 80 years to increase the strength of wooden structures.
Portland Bolt is marking its 100th anniversary during 2012. Portland Bolt manufactures construction and industrial fasteners in an 85,000 sq ft facility, which includes a hot-dip galvanizing line.
Rotor Clip Company Inc. added a website for Japan and the Asian market, with product information, corporate social responsibility and company history.
Rotor Clip also designed a website for the Czech Republic, including information on the 2011 acquisition of Segnor and the plant's capabilities.
Würth Adams opened a Colorado distribution center to focus on the renewable energy sector and OEMs. Initial branch customers include wind turbine manufacturer Vestas. Würth Adams, a Würth Group division, is a fastener and C-parts distributor using CPS C-Parts Solutions for inventory management programs. Würth Adams has 13 U.S. and Mexico branches. Germany-based Würth Group has more than 400 operating companies in 84 countries and over 66,000 employees, including 32,000 in sales.
