Japanese Auto Export Volume in H1 2012 Increased 35% Year on Year

Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) released Japan’s auto export statistics in the first 6 months of 2012. The statistics demonstrated that the auto export volume of Japan in the first half of 2012 amounted to 2.487975 million units, increasing 647,811 units (+35.2%), compared to the 1.840164 million units in 2011. The last growth appeared in 2010. Regarding the export value, the auto export value of Japan in the first half of 2012 amounted to USD8.14485 million, increasing 38% year on year, among which the export value of CBU accounted for USD59.39639 billion while that of parts accounted for USD22.05211 billion.
