2012-08-17
Thanks to the construction of an overpass connecting Wugu and Yangmei in Taiwan, OFCO Industrial Corp. has begun to deliver considerable high strength corten bolts, totally delivering 700 tons at the end of August, resulting in astonishing revenue.
Legal persons hold optimistic attitude toward the outlook for high quality construction bolts and bolts used in the auto industry. OFCO will actively expand its production capacity and set up new screw former machine. The 2012 monthly production could reach 2,500 tons on average, 20% higher than last peak. Industry insiders indicated high strength screws required should be delivered soon since an overpass to be added to National Highway No.1 to connect Wugu and Yangmei is estimated to be completed at the end of 2012 and to be open to vehicle traffic. Corresponding to the construction progress, total numbers of high strength screws used in the construction will amount to 1,400 tons, among which those delivered by OFCO account for about 700 tons; besides, high value-added products are good means to increase profits.
OFCO stated that both the European Debt Crisis and the slowdown of American economy still have a great impact on the entire export market. However, both high value-added screws used in car/motorcycle industry and high strength construction bolts possess competitive advantage of differentiation due to high technology required. In addition, supplies of these high value-added fasteners were relatively limited and thus demands for these fasteners keep growing steadily.
