Russia May Invest Heavily in High Speed Rail

Russian Prime Minister Putin stated that in the future 10 years Russian will invest Ruble 5000 billion in conducting the railway modernization engineering to improve the traffic situation of the Eastern Siberia and the Far East. Additionally, in order to cooperate with the Russian Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014 and the World Cup in 2018, many construction works of high speed railways are going to be launched. It is estimated that the annual quantity of the passengers of Russian high speed rail will be up to 8.6 million people in 2020.
