Jörgen Rosengren was appointed CEO of European fastener producer Bufab, effective in the summer of 2012. Rosengren succeeds founder and CEO Hans Björstrand, who will remain a director. Bjorstrand has been with Bufab since 1977.
"With his broad international experience, he is well suited to further strengthen the company's position both in and outside Sweden", chairman Sven-Olof Kulldorff explained. "Through a consistent focus on profitability and a long-term growth strategy during the past 35 years, Hans has led the construction of Bufab from the ground to become the leading supplier of Small Parts in the Nordic region, as well as one of the biggest and most profitable players in Europe," Kulldorff said.
Rosengren holds a master's degree in engineering, has been employed by Husqvarna Group since 2004, most recently as global head of its handheld products. Rosengren also has worked for Electrolux, McKinsey & Company and Philips Electronics in the Netherlands.
Founded in 1977, Bufab reports about Euro 210 million and 650 employees in 22 countries in Europe, North America and Asia. Bufab focuses on end user sales. Bufab carries 125,000 standard and special fasteners, c-parts and Bufab was acquired by Nordic Group in 2005.
