2011-10-19
The fastener exports of Taiwan and China in the first half in 2011 both had double-digit price growth. Although China's export price growth margin was slightly higher than Taiwan, China's average export unit price was only about 60% of Taiwan's. With the higher unit price, it was quite a good result that Taiwan still had such growth. It was reported that Chinese fastener exports during the first-half year totaled to 1.714 million tons, while that of Taiwan was 0.71 million tons. In terms of the average export unit price from Jan. to July, Taiwan was US$ 2.723 / kg, increasing 14% over the same period last year; China's export unit price was US$1.616 / kg, increasing 17.3%.
