2014-12-24
Chin Well Holdings Berhad wishes to seize the growth potential of the global fastener market in one hand with its comprehensive range of products, and wishes to increase its investment in hi-tech manufacturing lines in another hand to lift up the production volume. These machines installed in Malaysia and Vietnam will be operational at the end of 2014 to increase the production volume and satisfy customers’ demands. In addition, the Group wishes to enlarge the current market and penetrate other new market sectors, which also include the reinforcement of its customer base. As a result, the Group takes its European partners for DIY fasteners into account to ensure its having potential markets in hand. At the current stage, the Group is putting much effort in acquiring European certifications, so that their fasteners can be approved to be used in the building applications in the euro zone.

In the fiscal year of 2014, the net gain of Chin Well Holdings reached 3.58 million Ringgit, up 61.8% from the previous record at 2.21 million Ringgit. The turnover of the Group grew 5.1% to 485.3 million Ringgit (previous record: 461.9 million Ringgit). The improvement of the turnover of the Group resulted mainly from the increased sales volume, especially the sales of fasteners exported to Europe (which is the largest market of the Group currently). The sales of fasteners exported to Europe reached 280.5 million Ringgit (representing 58% of the total turnover of the Group). 24% of the fastener sales were in domestic Malaysia (value: 114.6 million Ringgit), while 18% of the fastener sales were in other countries (value: 90.2 million Ringgit). In addition, in order to widen the product portfolio, the Group has recently expanded its product range to include DIY fasteners. Chin Well Holdings has signed contracts with the largest DIY fastener suppliers in France and Germany, which are complementary to the other agreements it has signed with U.S. and British suppliers.
