After the substantial drop of China’s fastener exports to Malaysia last year (less than 80,000 tons), the volume further dropped to 13,070 tons in Q1 2012, seriously down 42.65% compared to Q1 2011. Malaysia thus becomes the country which experiences the greatest decline of Chinese export volume. The market insider indicated that this is a result of the EU anti-circumvention measures, which show their impact and the export trade will remain weak in the future.
