Two days of industry meetings, presentations of the latest technologies and products, an expert conference on topics important for the fastener industry, Meeting Zone and novelty – Surface Protection Exhibition. This is a preview of this year's edition of the International Trade Fair for Fastener and Fixing Technologies FASTENER POLAND®. The trade fair will take place on October 15th-16th at EXPO Kraków.
The previous edition of the trade fair was attended by 153 exhibitors from 18 countries, 75% of which were foreign companies. The statistics of visitors were equally international. Of the 2,856 guests, 46% came to Krakow from abroad. Europe was most represented by industrialists from Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and Romania. The above data only emphasize the importance of the event and the fact that the FASTENER POLAND® trade fair is the most important place for business meetings in the industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
Poland, a strategic player on the European market
The demand for specialised fasteners, in terms of quality and standards, is constantly growing. This is probably influenced by the most technologically advanced industrial sectors. Polish suppliers have specialised in supplying high-quality fasteners. Thanks to investments in modern technologies that are friendly to the environment and the continuous improvement in the qualifications of production staff, Poland is the third largest supplier of fasteners in the European Union, after Germany and Italy. The location of our country and well-developed transport infrastructure guarantee uninterrupted supply chains to the furthest corners of the continent. Although labour costs are also rising in our country, Poland still offers competitive prices compared to other European countries. All these factors make Poland an ideal place for investment in the fasteners industry. Exhibitors from all over the world know this, and every year at the only event dedicated to fasteners in our country they want to establish business contacts, find an agent or investigate the potential to open a branch. International Fastener Expo Returns to Las Vegas for Their 2023 Show
The International Fastener Expo (IFE), the largest North American B2B Expo focused on the Fastener industry, will be hosting their annual event October 9-11, 2023, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Attendees and exhibitors from around the world will come together under one roof to build new relationships and connect with peers, discover the latest products and solutions, and learn from experts about trends and newest technologies being used in the industry. Mack-Brooks Exhibitions announced the postponement of Fastener Fair Global 2021, which was scheduled to take place at the Messe Stuttgart Exhibition Centre in Germany from 9 to 11 November 2021. Instead the 9th International Exhibition for the Fastener and Fixing industry, will return to its normal event cycle and run from 21–23 March 2023. This decision was made due to the ongoing pandemic and following conversations with exhibitors and partners over the past weeks and months.
Liljana Goszdziewski, Portfolio Director of Fastener Fair Global, and on behalf of Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, commented about the announcement: “Following our decision to postpone Fastener Fair Global, we are pleased to be able to offer our usual event slot in Spring 2023. This early announcement will allow planning security for all participants, and it will ensure that the event can continue its critical role in bringing the global fastener and fixing industry together again in 2023.”
In the meantime, Mack-Brooks Exhibitions will run the new digital event, Fastener Fair CONNECT, allowing the international fastener and fixing community to gather in a dedicated online marketplace, which will offer an online showcase and additional networking opportunities for all the industry. From 17-18 November 2021, this international fastener get-together will unite all the global Fastener Fair brands, including Germany, Italy, Mexico, USA and India.

Only in 2018, domestic exports of fastening elements increased by 19% to a level of PLN 1.8 billion (around 455.4 million USD), the fastest growth rate in 8 years.
Over two days, 210 exhibitors showcased their portfolios. Importantly, as many as 71% had come from abroad, from countries such as Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, Slovenia, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, the USA, Great Britain and Italy. "Competition in the market is quite fierce and companies well know that they can't afford to stop looking for customers. The FASTENER POLAND® Trade Fair attracted 4,000 industry guests. That's 4,000 potential contractors", sums up Beata Łoś, Project Manager.

Breaching Virus Blockade with Massive Online Attendance
International Fastener Expo (IFE) 2020
The largest American fastener show held a successful online show on November 11th and 12th. Fastener World participated with a virtual booth there and broke out the blockade of the third coronavirus wave. In addition to Fastener World, there were also 7 other Taiwanese exhibitors at this virtual event, which included Huang Jing Industrial, Spec Products, Chite Enterprises, J.C. Grand, Pro-Path Industrial, and New Best Wire. Fastener World had successful video chats with Brighton Best International, Nord-Lock, Inc., Industrial Rivet & Manufacturing, Earnest Machine, FCH Sourcing Network, EXIPAR, S.A. DE C.V., EGW Utilities, Inc., among others, and successfully connected with more than 103 exhibitors online. During the live-streaming conferences, Fastener World was able to discuss conference topics with participants in a chat room, and the result was satisfactory.
The two-day show helped connect 2,700 online users and exchanged more than 6,700 messages. The exhibitors came from Canada, India, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, the U.S., and the visitors were from Mexico, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc. One Mexican visitor comes to Las Vegas almost every year and has purchased from Taiwan and China before. However, this year the visitor couldn't come to the event and therefore took the opportunity online. The virus blocks face-to-face talk among business people, but in turn opens up a new parallel business model including online and face-to-face communication.
The next edition will take place September 21-23, 2021 and we hope it will bring back face-to-face business talk.

The ‘Gateway to India’, Mumbai, hosts the seventh edition of Fastener Fair India. High profile Indian and international companies will, once again, showcase a comprehensive range of industrial fasteners and fixings, assembly and installation systems, storage and logistics services, fastener manufacturing technology and construction fixings. The exhibition takes place from 25-26 April 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, in Mumbai.
In 2018, Fastener Fair India was held in the country’s capital city, New Delhi and ended with positive results. Over 140 exhibiting companies were present at the two-day event, highlighting market innovations to a highly qualified audience of 3,316 (compared to the last edition of Fastener Fair India held in New Delhi, visitor numbers increased by over 30%). The majority of exhibitors were India-based companies. However, a lot of exhibitors were non-domestic, namely from China, Taiwan, Germany, South Korea, Japan and Turkey.
