2025 Korea Metal Week: South Korea Showcases Its Hub Position in High-Tech Metal Industry
The show held from October 29 to 31 at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1-3 in Goyang City covers a total area of 32,157 square meters. It is the largest metal and industrial materials event in South Korea for the second half of the year. The exhibits cover a wide range of industries, including fasteners, automotive parts, wire production, die casting, 3D technology, and machinery automation. The event attracts participation from large and small-to-medium enterprises across Asia, including China, India, Vietnam, and South Korea.
With 37 years of development, the show has seen continuous upgrades in fastener quality alongside the rising global market positions of Hyundai and Kia. Various high-quality products such as bolts, nuts, rivets, and washers were showcased. Although South Korea is not the largest market in Asia, it holds a significant position in leading high-tech industries and global trends.
Fastener World’s booth attracts a large number of visitors mainly from Asia, especially Chinese companies, as well as representatives from Taiwan and South Korea. Most visitors represent enterprises related to aluminum and steel products. The organizer also set up a large "China Pavilion" turning into the focal point for onsite traffic. Western visitors are relatively few, with the majority being Asian and exhibits primarily being accessories and industrial equipment.
During the show, Fastener World has gathered important market insights from Chinese companies, revealing that the U.S. import tariff policy on aluminum products has created operational pressures. Aluminum products are especially excluded from tax rebate benefits, increasing operational burdens for manufacturers and reflecting challenges faced by the global supply chain.
Through this show, Fastener World can gain deeper insights into Asian market demands, actively collect contact information from potential partners, and strengthen interactions with visitors. Despite exhibitors and visitors being mostly Asian, with fewer from Europe and America, the lively exchanges among Asian industry players can demonstrate broad potential for future collaboration.
