A brief survey by Fastener World Inc. indicated Thailand flood has little impact on the fastener industry. Since its Thailand factory is situated in the southern part of the airport, it had not been affected by the flood, said Tycoons Worldwide Group. The raw material for Tycoons’ Thailand factory is mostly by importing and the shipment at the port has not been slightly impacted. The reconstruction of Bangkok in the future may in some respects rely on the fastener industry, added Tycoons.

One nut manufacturer also said its Thailand factory operates as usual. With the integrated production line and small number of subcontractors, it has almost not been influenced by the flood. Linkwell Industries Co., Ltd., and Mr. Jimmy Ko, the deputy general manager of Tong Hwei Enterprise Co., Ltd. both remarked that their Thailand factories are not situated in the flooding zone; therefore, the operation in the factories is all carried out in the usual manner.
