TrendForce's latest research shows SpaceX, driven by rising Starlink satellite constellation and U.S. Space Force defense satellite demands, is shifting from partial to full rocket reusability. This spurs traditional rocket makers like Arianespace, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) to accelerate first-stage reusable rocket validation. With advanced fuels and recovery technology, global commercial rocket launch costs are dropping rapidly.

TrendForce notes current expendable rocket launches cost USD 110-180 million, partial recovery around USD67 million. Full reusability aims to slash costs to USD 2-5 million, drawing major players into development.

Leveraging mature CNC machining and component technologies, Taiwanese firms already supply civil aviation bolts and nuts to GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Safran Tier 2 engine makers. To enter SpaceX and international rocket supply chains, they must secure space-grade certification and handle small-batch customization with frequent design changes. Meanwhile, Taiwan's LEO satellite supply chain transitions from R&D to mass production and profitability, unlocking new growth momentum for aerospace fasteners.
