The 8th Egypt Projects, focused on the construction and hardware industry supply chain, was held from September 6 to 8 at Egypt International Exhibition Center this year. Located at the crossroads of the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa, Egypt Projects hosted 230 exhibitors from 14 countries and 17,000 visitors last year. This year’s edition again attracted many local Egyptian, Middle Eastern, North African, and even Asian exhibitors showcasing their products and services, seeking partners, building global supply chains, and gaining insights into the latest industry trends. The visiting buyers mainly came from Egypt and neighboring African countries, making it an important hub for expanding markets in Africa, the Middle East, and surrounding countries.
Since its first edition in 2016, the exhibition has played a key role as a platform for interaction and exchange in the local construction industry. Each year, many leading local exhibitors participate, alongside representatives from government agencies and industry professionals. The exhibits primarily include concrete products and machinery, construction tools, coatings and chemical products, air conditioning equipment, paints, flooring and decorative materials, as well as various sizes of pipes and tubing. This year, the exhibition was co-located with Stonex Expo, the international exhibition for marble and granite, and Wire & Tube Egypt, making the visitor profile even more diverse.
This year, Fastener World also sent personnel to participate in the exhibition. Besides exchanging information with the local construction-related supply chain, we shared the latest magazine publications and extensive supplier information from European, American, and Asian markets with local buyers and visitors. According to the organizer, Egypt currently has planned construction projects estimated at nearly 170 billion USD, including a new capital city township, railway systems, residential buildings, nuclear power plants, and the “October Oasis” project, among other major plans. These projects are expected to generate substantial demand for architecture and hardware material markets.
