     In the first half of 2019, Taiwan exported 8.03 million tons of fasteners to the world, down 3.18% from the same period last year. The average price per KG reached US$ 2.89 (+0.73%). In June, Taiwan’s fastener export dropped by 0.131 million tons, down 6.11% from the same period last year and down 4.18% from May in the same year. The average export price per KG in June was US$ 2.94, up 2.14% from the same period last year and up 2.17% from May in the same year.

     In 2018 Taiwan’s fastener export reached around 1.68 million tons (up 5.25% from 2017) and the average export price was US$ 2.884. It is expected that Taiwan’s annual fastener export this year is very likely to show a reverse trend of “decline in volume.”
