The biennial and the 15th Wire Dusseldorf was successfully held at Messe Dusseldorf on April 4-8, attracting more than 2,600 exhibitors from the global fastener-related industries. The venue was most of the time crowded during the 5-day exhibition. 16 exhibition halls were open this year and the halls used spanned the area of 110,900 square meters. In the “Wire” area, 1,337 exhibitors from 53 countries registered their participation. European exhibitors mainly came from Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Sweden, and Germany. Oversea exhibitors were mainly from the U.S., South Korea, Taiwan, India, Japan, and China. The “Fastener Technology” area in Hall 15 was especially arranged by the show organizer for fastener manufacturers, distributors, traders/importers, related product/service/solution providers and industrial associations from around the world. Main exhibits included wire & materials, fastener making machines, finished/semi-finished fasteners & fixings, surface treatment & processing technology, and other fastening service and so on, offering buyers from around the world a very efficient and effective communication platform for satisfying their one-stop fastener purchase demand. Despite the current instability of the global economic situations and the ever-changing fluctuations of steel prices, fastener buyers from around the world looking for potential suppliers and business partners seem not to have been influenced by these variants and many visitors making their inquiries on site were also observed. In order to draw the attention of more visitors and buyers, a myriad of exhibitors from Europe and N. America (e.g. Nedschroef, National Machinery, SACMA, WAFIO, Carlo Salvi, Weighpack, Heroslam, Dimac, Brankamp) spent a lot for creating their own well-designed and big stand construction. Exhibitors from Asia (e.g. Chun Zu, Jern Yao, Boltun, Sanshing, San Yung, Yeswin, Accuvision) did also spend a lot for their own impressive stand construction. May buyers also paid their visit and made inquiries to the stands of Taiwanese exhibitors (e.g. Ticho, UTA, Chien Tsai, Konfu, Gem, and Chii Chyuan). According to the organizer’s statistics, about 69,500 professional fastener purchasers from 130 countries came to visit wire and tube show this year. The internationality of this show increases year after year and the potential business opportunities after the show are also quite expectable.
