Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) has named its wire rod segment as "SteeLinC®". This new brand integrates the self-produced steel products with NSSMC's secondary processing capability.

The brand has a total of 11 member companies, including domestic producers of cold finished steel bars and cold forging steel wires like Nippon Steel & Sumikin Steel Processing Co., Ltd., Matsubishi Metal Industry Co., Ltd., Nippon Steel & Sumikin Steel Wire Co., Ltd., and Miyazaki Seiko Co.,Ltd. Overseas members include NSCh (China) and NSSPT(Thailand).

In order to further appoarch steel makers, secondary processing companies and fastener makers, NSSMC merges steel makers and secondary processing makers into a brand with the attempt to speed up product development and absorb market needs.
