ArcelorMittal planning to build a modern steel plant in Krakow, Poland, but it hopes to obtain preferential offer from the Polish government. The company has invested PLN 5 billion (around USD 1.67 billion) in expanding the steel rolling mill in Krakow and building a galvanizing plant. Poland Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz will announce the preferential measures for ArcelorMittal this April. The company will decide whether it will continue the investment in Poland depending on the content of the measures.
