SKF AB group is a leading solution & service provider in the world for rolling bearings, sealants, lubricants. The company founded in 1907 is headquartered in Göteborg, Sweden. The founder invented the first Double Row Self-aligning Ball Bearing. It has now over 140 branches in over 70 countries, 120 among which are manufacturing plants and cooperated with over 15,000 distributors and agents. The current number of employees is 46,000.
The sales of the group in 2012 was about SEK64.6 billion (roughly USD9.6 billion). 27% of the net sales was from Asia and half of the sales in Asia was from China.

Major products include bearings, mechanical sealants, lubricants, drivers, testing, transmission & suspension, etc. Products are widely applied in the automotive, aerospace, railway, and appliance industry. Every year it manufactures over 0.5 billion pieces of bearings, representing 20% of the global market share. SKF Group was once the parent company of Volvo Group.
