China and the EU have agreed to launch the negotiations for further investment between each other. This shows the stable conditions of these two countries even some disputes have been ignited between them.

Premier Li Keqiang of China, Chairman Herman Van Rompuy of European Council, and Chairman Jose Manuel Barroso of European Commission announced together in the annual routine meeting between the three parties held in Beijing that the negotiation is already started. They promised to help increase the bilateral trade between the EU and China from USD580 billion in 2012 to USD1,000 billion in 2020.

Premier Li said that the leaders of China and the EU also agreed to create a more open and convenient investment environment and are against the protectionism of trade. Since 9 years ago, the EU has become the largest export destination of China and China is the second largest export destination of the EU, only second to the U.S. However, the trade relationship between China and the EU is still influenced by many disputes on solar panels, wine, and steel.
