HONDA announced on August 7 that it would set up a new assembly plant in Brazil with an annual production of 120 thousand units. The new plant will be located in Sao Paulo State and will launch in 2015, stretching across 5.8 million square meters with an investment of 43 billion yens and 2,000 employees. Combining the existing Soumaré plant with the new plant, the annual capacity will reach 240 thousand units.
