1st Fastener Fair Hannover Shows European Buyers’ Interest in Asia

Promoting itself as the most important fastener show in northern Germany, Fastener Fair Hannover was held during 24-26 April attracting about 380 international exhibitors. 64 exhibitors from Taiwan also participated in the show. With the uniform stand layout in Taiwan Pavilion, they hoped to draw the attention of different customer base and get to know the latest manufacturing technology and production trends.

During the 3-day show, visitors were mostly from domestic Europe, especially Germany. Taiwanese exhibitors like, Chun Yu, Linkwell, and Chite created their stylish stands to promote their brands. The significant “Taiwan” letters on the fascias of Taiwan Pavilion showed the pride and confidence Taiwanese exhibitors have for their products. Taiwanese exhibitors comment on the result of the show, saying that though the number of visitors was lower than they expected, visitors were from the industry they want. Some buyers had strong interest in Taiwanese products and said that Taiwan will be their consideration when purchasing from Asia. Many European big companies’ve set up offices in China or other Asian countries to purchase from Asia quickly. Taiwanese fasteners are not greatly impacted by antidumping duties; comparatively products from Taiwan will be very competitive.
