"Severstal-Metiz" Started the Manufacture of Galvanized Wires of Big Diameters

"Severstal-Metiz" (a family of “the Russian Severstal Steel”) increases capacities on manufacture of low-carbon galvanized wires. In particular, the company prepares to put into operation two new lines for hot galvanized wires. One of them can manufacture galvanized wires of 8mm in diameter.
"Severstal-Metiz" becomes the first factory in Russia, which has the possibility to manufacture wires of such diameter.
Expansion of capacities was made due to the market demands. The wires in diameter of 8mm will be used, first of all, in manufacture of reinforced systems elements of fences and various consumer goods.
“Operative reaction to the market change and client's demand are necessary conditions for successful functioning of the state-of-the-art flexible company. This is also possible in a segment of low carbon: not only developing standard products, but also offering exclusive kinds of products and services,” said the general director of "Severstal-Metiz" Oleg Veter.
With additional lines, the production volume of galvanized wires grows on 1,600 tons per month.
