GP Tech & IP Holding Co., Ltd. has published the Metal Industries R&D Centre (MIRDC) official report on the new high-strength bolt. The “Forever Restraining Bolt” is anti-loosening, anti-vibration, and anti-slip. When applied to the various high-strength bolting connections for steel structures, the new product displays a remarkable function.
The comparison between the anti-slip coefficients of “Forever Restraining Bolt” (the special lock washer M20 and nut M20/side 32mm) and of the general high-strength bolts under the same axial force (axial forces between 156~160KN) are as follows:
Anti-slip coefficient= anti-slip force/ (no. of friction surfaces*axial force)
The washers and nuts of general high-strength bolts are removable and the anti-slip coefficient is 0.45. The washers and nuts of the “Forever Restraining Bolt” are not removable and the anti-slip coefficient is 0.94. This figure is higher than the performance of the washers and nuts of any other high-strength bolts in the world.
