According to the latest statistics from WSA（World Steel Association）, global crude steel production of 64 countries from January to October this year is about 1.259 billion metric tons, while the world’s crude production in 2010 was 1.417 billion metric tons. Among these 64 contries’ crude production of Jan.~Oct., Asia is the area representing the largest production of 0.808 billion metric tons, and the other areas’ production shows as follows:
European Union (27)－0.12 billion metric tons
Other Europe－ 30.74 million metric tons
C.I.S. (6)－ 94.14 million metric tons
North America －99.08 million metric tons
South America－40.99 million metric tons
Africa－11.67 million metric tons
Middle East－16.99 million metric tons
Oceania－ 6.547 million metric tons
