WSA: 2012 World Steel Demand to Slow Down to 5.4%

According to the Short Range Outlook (SRO) of World Steel Association (WSA), the apparent steel use will increase by 6.5% to 1,398 mmt in 2011. In 2012, the world steel demand growth is forecast to slow down by 5.4% to 1,474 mmt. Six months before, WSA expected the world steel demand will increase by 5.9% to 1,359 mmt in 2011 and in 2012 the demand growth will increase by 6% to 1,441 mmt.
