Atlantic Fasteners Wins Two Lockheed Contracts

Atlantic Fasteners in West Springfield, MA got a pair of Lockheed Martin subcontracts worth at least US$87,000 to supply aerospace fasteners and other locking components.
Atlantic Fasteners' aerospace division got the two-year contracts, said aerospace director Marc Dionne. One contract covers 67 fasteners for a mobile radar system. The second is for 55 parts used on a wireless, through-the-earth communications system, designed for contacting underground mines after accidents occur, Dionne said.
Dionne said earning the Lockheed STAR award in 2008 and maintaining a nearly perfect quality rating has helped Atlantic get more of the company's business. Atlantic Fasteners aerospace is AS9120 and ISO 9001:2008 certified and specializes in aerospace, aircraft and military spec hardware. (Source: American Fastener Journal)
