Japanese Torq Installs Fastener Pick-up Locker at Taisho Distribution Center and Sets up an AI Innovation Company

In June, the Osaka fastener trader Torq installed a fastener pick-up locker at its logistics center in Taisho-ku, Osaka, to allow customers to pick up the products they order. Through this locker, Torq is targeting the demand for screws in the early morning hours before work and other time periods so that customers can pick up goods outside of business hours.
In addition, it also announced in an April 27 press release that it was planning to establish a subsidiary named "AI Innovations, Inc." in May. This subsidiary is part of Torq's growth strategy to invest in the AI industry. The subsidiary is currently recruiting collaborative partners. This AI company founded by a major Japanese fastener trader marks Japanese fastener industry's attention to AI technology and the chains of action that it leads to. How this subsidiary will be incorporated into Torq's business roadmap, and whether Torq will lead fastener companies into the AI market, or whether AI may be introduced into fastener production and logistics in the near future, are something worth keeping in mind.
