The “Most Sophisticated First Article Inspection
Machine” to Rival Europe & US Model with Only “Half Price”
     

Ching Chan has another new move after being globally recognized as “the leading brand of Sorting Machine”. Other than officially renaming the company name to “Ching Chan Optical Technology Co., Ltd.” in April, it also released 3 new models, PQA-PQC, which were invested NT$10s of millions and took 3 years for development. So far, the new model has been into the 3rd generation, which has been practically tested for around 1 year in the plants of China and Taiwan. They have successfully passed Taiwan’s certification and are applying for the patents in around 30 countries.
 
In the release of new model, PQB can test 10 wood screws/furniture screws every time. In addition, PQC model is the most eye-catching, which is specially designed for auto parts and aerospace screws. The camera of PQC costs around NT$300,000 dollars with 360° automatic rotation, 1.3 M pixels, integrated with the most sophisticated transmission system, spectrum, overcoming the most difficult problem for across flats/corner. The testing time approximates around 30-300 sec/piece. The repeated precision can be more delicate to around ±0.01mm, which totally eliminates the manual measuring tolerance. The suitable screw size ranges from M3-M6, with length around 5mm-150mm, almost covering 80% of large field screws. Advantech industrial computer is used for the control system to provide a high effective platform with stability, integrated with PLC for precision control. PQC not only can replace over 70% of manpower in QC Dept. of fastener plants, but also has the features of easy-to-use. President Alex Wu of Ching Chan Optical Technology indicated, “This kind of new model has attracted many buyers from all over the world for inquiries. We have received many orders before the official launch in the market! It is beyond our expectation for how popular it is. In conservative estimation, there will be over 50 sales volume by the end of this year.” The total machinery sale for CCM last year was over 200 sets, the total turnover in Taiwan and China was around NT$0.3 billion. This year, the sales volume will exceed 300 sets with NT$0.45 billion profit income due to the effect of new release this year. In addition, CCM will have a new machinery release in May and is going to be exhibited in Fastener Expo Shanghai in June. Under the drastic competition from excellent quality with inexpensive price, it will cause another fad for purchasing machineries!

Establish OEM Plants for “QA Accreditation Organization”

CCM has strong strength in software group, plus the equipment parts are mainly from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, etc. So far, there are 15 R&D staff among 80 employees in Taiwan. Furthermore, the Industrial And Academic Cooperation Project is adopted in order to obtain broadened technical sources. “Constant R&D. There’s no best but better!” is the core principle to have CCM become No. 1 in the world. Alex Wu said, “I have always told R&D staff not to consider R&D cost. Just use the best!” CCM equipment function has more than 60 categories, which can be recognized as No. 1 in the world, and the service life can exceed 10 years. So far, it has been marketed to more than 20 countries such as Germany, the US, Japan, and Korea, especially for German market, which has been accumulated for 10s of customers. In addition, Wu highly approves that German agency is really helpful to enhance CCM’s quality. Wu said, “CCM is going to seek fastener leading companies for cooperation in the future and have standardization for suppliers’ QC. Through the consistence of suppliers’ QC testing machines, SPC related fastener testing reports can be directly printed out from the Internet, which can integrate suppliers’ form for the reporting of data, statistics, and precision to solve the QC issues at one time.” Wu is more innovative about fastener selecting market. He indicates that there are at least 15,000 fastener manufacturers in China, but there are only around 1,000 who purchase sorting equipment, plus there are many fastener manufacturers who adopt “husband-and-wife” operation, so they cannot afford to buy sorting machines. However, the entire Chinese plants can provide OEM service. “In order to expand the market share of CCM products, the fastener sorting plants will be established in China, Taiwan, and countries is Europe and America. Each OEM plant will be equipped with 30-50 sorting machines in order to decrease customers’ QC cost and meet their needs.”


Provide Full Inspection + Packing Service“Fasteners Have Strict QC”

Other than Quality Testing Machines, CCM would have the product release of PSC-3500 and PSD-1500 in May. Next year, it will invest NT$200 million to build a new plant, and it will “strive for OTC, NT$1.2 billion turnover, and mutual benefit share for staff” in 4 years. Finally, Wu indicates that it is his profound concern that Taiwanese manufacturers have insufficient fastener sorting concept. “Even now, Chinese manufacturers say that they only want the screws that are sorted by sorting machines.” How can Taiwan prove our fasteners are better than others if we still remain the conventional thoughts and do not entirely upgrade fastener inspection? The best proof is to show the customers the actual data after sorting. These data not only can “talk”, but also better than thousands of words. The new trend of  “Quality will be more superior after sorting” has been highly recognized all over the world.


Objective:
Improve the sorting machines that only have testing short to medium fasteners, and long screws still need manual check for every single screw. It can test wire diameter 8.0-16.0mm and length 100-250mm in order to satisfy the demands for large screw plants. Size precision: ±0.03mm; curve precision: 0.25-0.40mm.
