Fastener Export & Import of Jiaxing (Zhejiang, China) in 2010

In 2010, the fastener export & import of Jiaxing City in China reached US$801.52 million (up 51.44% compared to last corresponding period), representing 4% of the total import and export of the entire city. Its increase margin was 19% higher than that of the entire city. The export reached US$779.95 million (up 51.80% compared to last corresponding period) while the import reached US$21.57 million (+29.18% compared to last corresponding period). The followings are the factor analyses of fastener export of the city in 2010. 1.      Fast Growing Export Fastener export of the city in 2010 was US$779.95 million, representing 48.67% of the total export of the province. Steel fasteners export was US$775.37 million (+51.55% compared to last corresponding period; copper fastener export was US$3.65 million (+130.04% compared to last corresponding period); aluminum fastener export was US$0.93 million (+57.03% compared to last corresponding period). All fastener products export demonstrated substantial growth, though it is still far away from the export of 2008 (US$981.36 million). 2. Europe and USA Remain Major Export Destinations But With Lower Representation In 2010, fastener export to the US of the entire city was US$162.4 million (+28.39% compared to last corresponding period) while the export to Europe was US$172.34 million (+72.33% compared to last corresponding period. The total export to the U.S. and Europe represented 42.92% of the total fastener export of the entire city (-1.2% compared to last corresponding period). 3. More Export Partners While the traditional market continue to grow consistently, the trade with new emerging countries and areas also grows at a high speed. In 2010, the total fastener export to ASEAN, Russia, Brazil, India, South Africa, Ukraine, and Chile of the entire city was US$212.12 million (27.20% of the total fastener export of the city) and was up 62.00%, 149.26%, 214.41%, 119.56%, 95.96%, 154.32%, and 163.01% compared to last corresponding period). 4. Increasing Export Unit Price In 2010, the export unit price of fasteners in the city was US$1,194 per ton (+9.04% compared to last corresponding period). The unit price of steel fasteners was US$1,188 per ton (+8.89% compared to last corresponding period); the unit price of copper fasteners was US$8,449 per ton (+39.58% compared to last corresponding period); and the unit price of aluminum fasteners was US$2,428 per ton (+7.01% compared to last corresponding period). 5. Increasing Big Exporters In 2010, there were 16 enterprises with over US$10 million of fastener export (+23.08% compared to last corresponding period and 9 enterprises with over US$20 million of fastener export (+80 compared to last corresponding period). The total fastener export of these 16 enterprises was US$392.31 million, representing 50.30% of the total export value of the entire city.
