According to World Steel Association (WSA), world crude steel production reached 1.41 billion tons in 2010, increasing 15% as compared with 2009, and making a new record for global crude steel production. The share of world crude steel production is as follows: China (44.3%), Slovakia (12.2%), Japan (7.8%), USA (5.7%), India (4.7%), Russia (4.7%), South Korea (4.1%), Ukraine (2.4%), Brazil (2.3%).
