2015 M-Tech Osaka-

A 14% Increase in the Number of Visitors Reveals Significant After-Show Business Opportunities

by Tanya Shih, Fastener World Inc.

The largest trade fair for the manufacturing industry in Western Japan (The 18th M-Tech Osaka) was successfully held at INTEX Osaka on Oct. 7-9, 2015. This fair is well-known for its wide array of exhibits such as metal processing technology, fasteners, springs, bearings, tubes & pipes, CAD/CAM/CAE, 3D printing and various solutions for the supply chain and is greatly admired and recognized by global leading manufacturers and purchasers.

The total number of exhibitors once again reached 1,063 this time and there were even more visitors (42,216 persons,↑14%) coming to this fair, which might be due to a more appropriate exhibit zone arrangement. For example, “fasteners” was located in Hall no. 3. According to the onsite observation of Fastener World’s staff, fastener visitors coming to the fair were mostly manufacturers and engineers from areas of screws, bolts, heat treating, electroplating, and related machines. Purchasers were in the second largest group of visitors.

In addition to Fastener World Magazine, there were also other Taiwanese exhibitors manufacturing fasteners or hand tools at the fair, including Home Soon, Wa Tai, Shin Jaan, and Lu Chu Shin Yee. The 19th M-Tech Osaka is scheduled to take place again at INTEX Osaka on Oct. 5-7, 2016.
