Simpson Strong-Tie announced it is making a $10,000 donation to assist in relief response and recovery efforts following the historic Blanco River flooding that affected Hays and Caldwell Counties in Central Texas.

The city of Wimberley in the heart of Texas Hill Country was especially hard hit, with a number of lives lost and many homes destroyed or damaged. The donation is being given to The Barnabas Connection, a Wimberley-based organization that has been providing health and human services and connecting individuals and families in need with resources for the last 10 years. The City of Wimberley requested the organization help lead long-term recovery by spearheading fundraising and information dissemination efforts.

The McKinney, Texas branch of Simpson Strong-Tie was made aware of The Barnabas Connection's recovery efforts by McCoy's Building Supply, a long-time customer. The donation will help the Barnabas Connection assist Wimberley residents rebuild and recover from the disaster, along with providing help to meet the financial and emotional needs of those impacted.
