Kitada Tekkojo (Osaka, Japan) is well-acclaimed by its hole cutting techniques and is getting increasing inquiries from the high speed rail industry. For the most part, the industry uses electric discharge to create a thin and deep cutting hole, whereas Kitada Tekkojo directly conducts high precision cutting (rather than electric discharge) on the fastener to reduce processing cost and attain balance between production cost and precision. The photograph presents the company's technique where a hole is cut on the head center of the fastener all the way through the side of the head.
