2014-04-21
Hwa Hsing, the time-honored Taiwanese screw supplier, launched its new plant in Tainan Xuejia Industrial Park in 2010. With monthly capacity at 2,000 tons, it could perform well in revenue regardless of global recession. Hwa Hsing president Jim Chen, also the former chairman of TFTA, speaks on his prospect for 2014, "Hwa Hsing will sustain its growth and steady achievement." He anticipates the company will maintain as one of  top 5 carbon steel small screw makers in Taiwan.
Hwa Hsing's broad production line specializes in long screws encompassing wood screws, machine screws, self-tapping screws, bugle head screws, chipboard screws, and self-drilling screws, ranging from M2.5-M12 and 10mm-400mm. Export  aims at Europe, which accounts for 70-80% of total revenue.
As a specialist of carbon steel screws, Hwa Hsing maintains consistency in stabilized product quality. It invests in 5 sets of heat treatment facility, among which 3 sets are continuous furnaces, and the other 2 sets are batch furnaces specializing in heat treating long screws. It integrates heat treatment division into the manufacturing process corresponding with the 6,612 square meter automated packing plant. He hopes a streamlined production and packaging will improve the company internally and help it control delivery and quality to provide clients with better service.
Jim thinks, when capacity is mature and techniques becomes a fundamental ability, the next stage is to go for refined management. At the launch of the new plant, the information management division was set up simultaneously. Through self-invented real-time production status report system, the company can simplify internal communicating process and better refine cross-division communications.
