BTC in Taiwan   
   
Bossard Group headquartered in Switzerland, established in 1831, which has been nearly 180 years old. Currently, there are 53 operation centers in total throughout America, Europe, and Asia, specialized in purchasing and selling all kinds of fasteners, which is regarded as a leading purchaser/vendor in the global fastener market.

On Nov. 16, 2010, under the co-hosting of CEO David Dean of Bossard Group, CEO Robert Ang of Bossard Asia Pacific, and General Manager Patrick Lim of Bossard Ltd., Taiwan Branch, Bossard Technical Center was inaugurated in Taichung, Taiwan. Bossard Group values Taiwan fastener industry a lot because CEO David Dean personally flew from Switzerland to Taiwan in order to host the opening ceremony.

Furthermore, Bossard not only arranged the introduction of internal technical testing procedures, but also planned to purchase Spectrometry, Tensile Strength Test Machine—15 tons, PEM Product Assembly Machine, Automatic Profile Measuring Machine, etc in the future. 

In addition, Bossard also showed the attendees and media the application of SmartBin to witness the contribution and efforts that Bossard Group has been working on in global fastener technology.

Mission, Strategy, and Operation

Bossard Group works hard to integrate 3 core abilities including products, engineering technologies, and logistical support, anticipating applying 15/85 rule (15% is fastener cost, and 85% is technical cost) to provide global customers with innovative values.

Therefore, it established testing labs in the US, France, Denmark, Switzerland, India, Thailand, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Korea. BTC Leader Sean Ho emphasized, “The main purpose that headquarters chose to establish technical center in Taiwan is not only for introducing more advanced fastener processes, post-treatment, and application technologies, but also for constructing more inseparable cooperative relationship with Taiwanese suppliers, allowing the sophisticated technologies of Taiwan and superior products to be marketed worldwide!”

BTC devotes itself to developing new technologies in order to provide fastener related solutions. Its strategic target is to integrate the flexible manufacturing ability of Taiwanese manufacturers with Bossard Group from all over the world, develop the assembly technologies for the market, and popularize this technology to R&D Centers all over the world.
