Toyota Canada Recalls Tacoma Due to Potential Loosening Risks

Toyota Canada announced to recall 26,830 units of Tacoma manufactured during 2005-2011. The reason to recall was that fasteners within belts of the drivers ‘and passengers’ seats might loosen if access doors were repeatedly and forcefully closed, which might indirectly increase the safety concerns on potential loosening of belts in car accidents or sudden stops. Dealers of Toyota Canada, accordingly, decided to recall the model for replacing new fasteners to ensure customers’ safety.
