According to the report of basic mechanical parts production in August 2011, China basic parts industry has demonstrated a slight decline in the acceleration of production and sales in the first 8 months; however, it still keeps a higher acceleration. This August, the total production value of China basic mechanical parts industry amounted to RMB132.246 billion (up 13.91% over the same period). The production and sales rate in August was 98.07% (up 0.08% over last month).

The acceleration of production and sales growth for each sub-industry of the basic mechanical industry this August was slightly different (some went up and some went down). Among these sub-industries, the slowest growth is fastener manufacturing at 2.32%, and the fastest growth is part forging and powder metallurgy at 16.09%. During January to August, the total export of the entire China basic mechanical parts industry amounted to RMB89.669 billion (up 6.08% over the same period). Among the total export, part forging and powder metallurgy demonstrated higher growth (by 24.86%); however, fastener manufacturing demonstrated negative growth by 4.51%.
