CSC and MIRDC Co-Establishes “Metal Industry High Value-Added Engineering R&D Center”

Taiwan China Steel Corp. (CSC) and Metal Industries R&D Centre (MIRDC) have held the establishing ceremony of the “Metal Industry High Value-Added Engineering R&D Center.” Juo-Chi, Tsou, President f CSC said before the establishment of the new center, the tow parties had planned for half year. The main works in the first phase of the center include construction of the high value-added motor industry cluster, setup and introduction of advanced hot stamping manufacturing, and training of specially alloy application industry. The new goal is to help the metal material industry in Taiwan increase the value-added rate and high value-added metal output from 13% and NTD10 billion respectively in 2011 to 20% and NTD150 billion respectively in 2020.
