Recent news released by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany (BMWi) said that Philipp Loesler, the Federal Minister of BMWi during his meeting with the representatives of Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business emphasized that Germany should strategically strengthen the economic cooperation with Asia-Pacific, “Asia-Pacific is one of the most important growing markets in the world as well as Germany’s important trade partner. To fully develop Germany’s export-oriented economic potential, we have to lower tariff and non-tariff trade barriers. Signing free trade agreements is also one of the good approaches. Only through improvement of market entry conditions can the trade relationship between Germany and Asia-Pacific gain new driving forces to further promote economic growth.” BMWi not only pays close attention to the important economies, such as China, Japan, India, South Korea and Singapore but also takes Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam as new target markets.
