NIFMSE 2014— Miniature of the Improving N. American Fastener Market

Taiwan has the most condensed fastener industry in the world, and North America is no doubt qualified to be the world’s largest fastener market. National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo (NIFMSE) was held on October 23. On the first day of the show 2,238 professional visitors swarmed towards the ticket booth. This two-day fair may once again set a new record of visitor count.
According to the statistics released by the organizer in August, there were a total of 618 exhibitors and over 800 booths, up 3% from last year. The exhibitors were form Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech, Germany, India, Italy, South Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, and UK. They mainly exhibited fasteners, related equipment, and tools such as screws, nuts, washers, forming machines, heading machines, heat treatment machines, hand tools, electric and pneumatic tools. In other words, this fair assembles main exporting countries around the world, and it is the most proficient international fastener fair for exhibitors and visitors.
According to the statistics on Taiwan’s fastener export to the U.S., the U.S. is the top fastener export destination for Taiwan. Taiwan’s fastener export to the U.S. has been increasing since 2007. Although the amount dropped 41% in 2009, it quickly went back up 50% in 2010 with over-the-top performance. Up to now, the amount is still increasing. Taiwanese fastener industry is looking forward to this export market. We can expect some chemical reactions between the world’s most condensed fastener industry and the world’s largest fastener market.
