CHINA INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE SHOW

Great Success with 2,500 Exhibitors and 38,365 Visitors

Widely appreciated as a barometer of the hardware industry and an indicator of the industrial development, the 13th edition of China International Hardware Show (CIHS) held from 11/26-11/28, 2013 displayed a groundbreaking growing result in the numbers of exhibitors and visitors. The organizer reported that 2,500 companies came to exhibit and 38,365 visiting distributors and agents from the local Chinese and foreign hardware markets boosted by the growing potential of the second and third string cities in China came to join in the grand event. CIHS is considered the largest hardware show in Asia and the second largest one in the world.  

A high quality show should be dedicated to specific product categories. Shanghai New International Expo Centre spans the area of 107,000sqm. CIHS ’13 was co-located with “China International Building Hardware Show” and “China International Locks & Security Show” with special exhibit areas for “Safety Products” and “Grinders & Grinding Materials” as well as the area for “Processing Machines,“ in order to satisfy a wide array of demands from exhibitors and visitors. The exhibit area for locks & security products was doubled and the area for grinders & grinding materials grew 60%. Exhibits included tools, building hardware, DIY products, locks, security products, and small sized mechanical and electric equipment.

Regional Sales Manager Rolf Hanser of German Dreb and Manager Ercan Tokatlioglu of Turkish Interabrasasiv both said that CIHS is the best platform for entering Asia Pacific Region. 200 international exhibitors from Germany, Italy, the U.S., Japan, South Korea, India, and Taiwan went to participate in the show, which demonstrated the internationality of the show and the potential of Chinese market. What is worth mentioning, the delegations of the Association of German Tool Manufacturers, Taiwan Hand Tools Association, Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei, and Taichung Importers & Exporters Chamber of Commerce all had their exhibiting pavilions at the show.

CIHS will take place on September 18-20, 2014, which will again become an excellent show of Chinese hardware products.
