2025 TiTE x IHT: Leading Design and Manufacturing Ignite a New Future for the Industry
After years of development, Taiwan’s hardware industry has become a global leader in hardware parts design and manufacturing, with annual exports exceeding NT$350 billion. The industry plays a crucial supplier role in sectors such as industrial, automotive, aerospace, and medical fields, holding the world’s top market share for mid-to-high-end products.
From October 21 to 23, 2025, the International Hardware Expo Taiwan x Taiwan International Tools & Hardware Expo (TiTE x IHT) opened at Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center. The three-day event attracted over 400 exhibitors and buyers from 70 countries, covering an exhibition area of 7,500 square meters. As the largest hardware industry event in central Taiwan, the expo showcased 8 themed zones including hand tools, automotive repair, fasteners, metal processing, and gardening tools, demonstrating the diverse technologies and product advantages of Taiwan’s hardware parts industry.
On the opening day, Mr. Wu-Zhi Hsieh, Chairman of Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association, stated that the hand tools sector is facing unprecedented challenges due to high U.S. tariffs and global supply chain restructuring. Rising steel costs have led to order reductions, with a sharp decline expected in the fourth quarter of this year and early next year. Promoting Taiwan’s high-quality products through international shows and expanding global markets are key opportunities for the industry to overcome difficulties, accelerate transformation, and strengthen cooperation between front-end sales and back-end manufacturing.
As a pivotal matchmaking platform in the fastener industry, Fastener World actively distributed magazines at the exhibition to introduce the latest industry trends to visitors. Fastener World also collected buyer and visitor demand data, facilitating effective matching between suitable fastener manufacturers and buyers. Through in-depth on-site interviews with exhibitors, Fastener World gained valuable market insights to optimize future promotional services.
During the exhibition, a series of insightful summit forums were held, addressing critical topics such as industry upgrade, digital transformation, carbon emissions, and sustainable development. Scholars and industry experts shared perspectives on regional industrial revitalization, smart manufacturing, and legal challenges, providing concrete directions for the industry’s future growth.
This exhibition not only serves as a stage to showcase Taiwan’s technology and products but also an important platform for industry exchange. Through the event, Fastener World enhances international cooperation and promotes industrial upgrade, working alongside manufacturers to create a new chapter for Taiwan’s hardware parts industry.
