The foundations of the company in Wuppertal / Germany were built on the traditions of the brothers Carl, Emil and Wilhelm Hilgeland.

Cutting Edge Program
We offer the optimal solutions for your systems. Our product range from single-stroke-, double-stroke- and multi station headers to thread rolling machines, pointing and nut tapping machines.
KIESERLING and HILGELAND formers which are equipped with optional induction heating system are used for the production of fasteners made from high alloys for applications in the aerospace industry.

Optimum machine profitability and economic viability are the result of our new Test Center. This competence brings high efficiency, saves valuable start-up time for customers at their plants and reduces costs. The new Test Center provides the opportunity for customers to optimize the installation of the machines and tools offered by WAFIOS, and to bring them to perfection. WAFIOS Umformtechnik places its cold formers, threaders, pointers and nut tapping machines at its customers’ disposal at the Test Center.
WAFIOS will also arrange trial runs if required. These practically tested tooling solutions provide customers with stability in the production process.
Customers and interested parties are invited to send a drawing of the parts that are planned for production including information such dimensions, tolerances, materials, etc., and WAFIOS Umformtechnik will develop the suitable solutions for their special products.
Our tooling – especially our thread rolling dies for the production of fasteners have unique characteristics and are used world wide, they are a bench mark in the tooling business.
Hot & Warm Forming
WAFIOS Umformtechnik has developed its formers for titanium forming (hot forming) with integrated induction
heating units to gain a forming temperature of 700°C to 900°C. Warm forming of low-alloy stainless steel with forming temperatures up to approximately 300°C is also installed in these formers in order to achieve long tool life.
