Fasteners World Middle East 2016- the Hub for Fastener Purchasing in the ME
The area for fasteners in SteelFab 2015 was small, but since 2016 it has been officially included as one of the main exhibit areas of SteelFab,which has been held for 12 years. Products exhibited in the fasteners area this year are mainly for construction, gas & oil, ship building, and heavy industries applications. There are about 370 exhibitors coming this year to showcase over 1,000 brands. Seminars arranged by the organizer for surface treatment/coating, steel manufacturing technology, industrial fastener requirements, sheet metal processing, and cutting & welding technology will be also given on 01/17-01/18.
The show welcomed many visitors in the first two days. Moreover, as exhibitors are placed in halls based on their products, visitors can locate exhibitors under similar business scopes in an easier and quicker way. Most visitors are from UAE and some others are from neighboring countries in the ME, such as Iran or Oman. Some purchasers from Europe are seen as well.
"The importance of the show has been underscored by the UAE's renewed focus on the manufacturing and other industrial sectors to tide over the aftereffects of low oil prices. SteelFab 2016 also offers an unprecedented opportunity to source machinery from Europe at an economical rate, thanks to the depreciating euro against the US dollar," said Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The organizer also launched a new app exclusively for this show, which exhibitors and visitors can download for free and use it to arrange business meetings. Exhibitors are also allowed to upload their brochures and images to achieve more effective promotion. This app offers real time data analytics to assess visitor geography, product preference, and business engagement preference. In front of the main entrance, a huge TV wall is also placed to demonstrate exhibitors' brands.
The next show is scheduled to take place again in January 2017.
